In this course the student will learn advanced concepts and techniques
with the purpose of creating elaborate and visually appealing websites.
Some of the main topics that will be covered are geared towards a multidisciplinary
approach to web design that does not revolve only around software instruction.
The student will learn about user centered web design, graphic user interface
customization, internet ethics and copyright issues for the web as well
as a review of basic color, layout and typography theory. Some HTML, JavaScript
and CGI concepts will be demonstrated so the students can incorporate
some basic interactivity to their projects. The course is taught using
Macromedia Dreamweaver®, Adobe Photoshop and Imageready. Macromedia
Flash® technology will be emphasized to create animations and interactivity
for the projects.
